Green Flag Community Award

2018/2019
For the first time, Friends of Hailey Park were awarded the Green Flag Community Award for our meadow project for 2012/13 at the Royal Welsh Show on Monday 23 July 2012. We received this award from John Griffiths, Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Development.

We have now been awarded it again each year and more recently for 2019/20.

Many thanks to everyone who came out to the meadow and helped us over the past year

Display of award on park

A newly machined railway sleeper has been upended and stuck in the ground next to the meadow. Its also now the new display for our Green Flag Community Award - Thanks to rangers Gareth & Kev for doing this and putting up with all the usual comments – especially as weather was blooming awful. Memories of Bernard Cribbins, 'digging a hole' springs to mind here!
